Since then, we have been carrying out projects in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, focusing exclusively on rural districts. In addition to this clear geographical focus, we limit our activities to three core areas where we can have the greatest impact: drinking water and sanitation, sustainable construction and renovation, and education. Kamboo Project is guided by the principle of \u2018helping people to help themselves\u2019 \u2013 through our projects, we help local people to improve their own living conditions in the medium to long term.<\/p><p>Our development has taken place in several phases. Initially, through smaller projects, we learnt just how much can be achieved on the ground with limited resources when local expertise is specifically integrated and supported. In January 2017, the association\u2019s board was significantly strengthened with experienced, volunteer members. Through our teamwork and improved fundraising, we have seized the opportunity to significantly expand and professionalise our organisation on the ground in Cambodia.<\/p><p>Since 2026, we have been part of the Danish non-governmental organisation <a href=\"https:\/\/bamboos.ngo\/en\/home\/\">BAMBOOS<\/a>, a former project partner of Kamboo Project. Since then, BAMBOOS has been managing day-to-day operations on the ground in Cambodia and overseeing implementation, whilst Kamboo Project continues to raise funds and organise volunteer work in Switzerland. This contribution forms part of BAMBOOS\u2019s international initiative and enables us to expand our activities on the ground in line with our vision and mission.\u00a0<\/p><p>Legal form: Association
