Computer education in schools plays an important role in students career development. Computer literacy is part of the curriculum for primary school from grade 5 onwards. The learners at rural primary schools have only been able to be introduced to this subject from textbooks and have no practical equipment. Their first real experience of computers is only at High school or University when there is available equipment. This project will give learners in Grade 5 the opportunity to gain practical experience at the stage when the curriculum says that they should have been exposed to computer equipment to practice this skill. Learners learn the basics of computer operations such as typing and how to use all the functions of the keyboard. Thanks very much to SE Asia Foundation for make funding this important project.
