A New Chapter: BAMBOOS takes over Kamboo Project
Ten years. Approximately USD 1.2 million in donations, over 75 projects at 35 schools—and nearly 40,000 children who are now growing up in a safer, cleaner, and more dignified learning environment. You’ve made this possible together with us.
A new chapter is now beginning for the Kamboo Project: The Danish NGO BAMBOOS is taking over our work—along with our Cambodian team, all ongoing projects, and everything we’ve built together. For the children and school administrators in the Siem Reap region, this means the team they’ve come to know so well will remain by their side. For our impact, this means a broader platform, a larger network, and significantly more opportunities to reach even more schools.
The Swiss association will continue to exist, keep collecting donations, and, after a transition period, become BAMBOOS Switzerland. This isn’t a farewell—it’s the bold next step in a story that you’ve helped write.

Our projects—ranging from providing bicycles to renovating restrooms—are effectively carried out in collaboration with the local community. Every contribution—whether large or small—is intended to have the greatest possible impact locally.
