Date: October 2024 to December 2024

Status: Completed

With the arrival of the rainy season, one of our scholarship recipients is facing severe living conditions at home. The roof leaks significantly, making it difficult for the family to find a dry place to sleep. The damp environment has affected the student’s health and confidence, leading them to wear wet clothes to school, which has negatively impacted interactions with classmates. They have even offered to reduce their monthly financial support to help repair their family’s shelter.

While Kamboo Project typically focuses on educational support, we recognize that a safe and secure home is vital for a student’s success. If this situation is not addressed, the student’s health could worsen, making it harder to attend school and keep up with studies. Without intervention, they may have to leave school prematurely to seek work and support their family.

Given the urgency of the situation, we request a one-time support to fund immediate repairs to the student’s home. Although this request is outside our usual project focus, it directly contributes to our mission by removing a critical barrier to the student’s continued education.
