Date: January to August 2025

Status: Completed

We have successfully completed library improvements in a further seven primary schools, fostering a love of reading among students. In total, 1632 Students, of which 772 girls, come to benefit from our donors’ gracious generosity:

1-Pong Ro Primary School = 275 Students / 123 Girls
2-Sophy Primary School = 301 Students / 148 Girls
3-Lolai Primary School = 243 Students / 114 Girls
4-Kantrang Primary School = 234 Students / 101 Girls
5-Svay Chey Primary School = 203 Students / 101 Girls
6-Tropeng Thom Primary School = 135 Students / 65 Girls
7-Romdeng Primary School= 241students / 120 Girls

We began with surveys and consultations to understand each school’s needs, then collaborated with teachers to carefully select books that balance fun and educational value. The libraries were transformed into inviting, student-friendly spaces through thoughtful decoration and organization. To encourage reading habits, we organized engaging activities including reading contests that celebrated all students’ progress in a supportive environment, rewarding their efforts with small gifts. Though originally requested from fifteen primary schools, we completed seven and look forward to supporting the remaining eight primary schools in the coming year which in the waiting list of help.
Your continued support has made a meaningful difference in these communities and helped us create lasting educational impact through Kamboo Project. A special thanks goes to this years’ cohort of Insight Cambodia, our partnership with the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, who funded a seizable part of the programme and travelled over to implemnet two projects themselves.
