Yan Chen (28) is living with his wife Sorn Sreyrith (21) and the son Yan Rithy (1) in an old cottage, which was however in decline. The roof leaked badly and hardly provided ever-critical protection against monsoon rain. The walls were ramshackle and bent already. Kamboo Project bought the material and built a new house on pillars aided by local workers. The family now does not to worry any longer about the next rainy season, where floods are not uncommon.
