With the unwavering support of the Green Leaves Education Foundation, the School Hygiene Improvement Project has successfully achieved its objectives at five primary schools. These schools now demonstrate strong commitment and ownership of hygiene practices, ensuring the project’s sustainability.
Key Achievements:
- Infrastructure Improvements: Constructed six toilet rooms, installed six urinals, 15 handwashing stations, and provided two trash bins per school.
- Education and Impact: Over 992 students and 45 teachers received hygiene education, with 100% adopting improved practices such as brushing teeth, washing hands, proper toilet use, drinking clean water, and managing waste effectively.
- Teacher Involvement: Hygiene lessons are now integrated into regular classroom activities.
- Sustainability Measures: Fully operational facilities are maintained by school committees, with dedicated maintenance teams established at each school.
- Community Engagement: Parents and local leaders actively supported the initiative, including participating in fundraising to enhance school facilities for their children.
Looking forward, we aim to expand this impactful project to even more schools in the coming years. If you share our vision and would like to partner with us, let’s make a remarkable difference together!
