As part of our Community Development Programme, a group of students from the University Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia, has sponsored and built – under our supervision – a toilet house for a family in the rural area of the Prasat Bakong. These beneficiaries were without access to sanitary facilities and were selected by Kamboo Project in collaboration with the local village chief for this timely project. The father, who is a widower, is responsible for his aged mother and four children (one girl, three boys), and lives off a low wage construction job. This joint effort with university students kicks off a collaboration with academia that we are determined to expand on.
